The superwarfarin brodifacoum is intended to be used as a rodenticide. Poisoning (at times deliberate; oral or inhaled with crack or marijuana fumes/smoke) can occasion severe vit-K depletion and bleeding including alveolar hemorrhage. Longterm vitamin K replacement therapy is necessary, as this class of compounds has a half life of months (see PMID 21740137 and 17215536). Relapse may follow initial improvement. Brodifacoum measurements in blood is indicated
