Silicone pulmonary embolism (SE) - SE syndrome

A life-threatening syndrome that follows subcutaneous or i.v. injection of fluid silicone. The clinical presentation includes pulmonary infiltrates, ALI/ARDS, DAH, and CNS involvement when silicone accesses the brain (the 'silicone embolism syndrome or SES).
