Crystalline silica is a very common and large scale aerocontaminant in underground or open mines, grinding/sandblasting, artificial/Caesar stone industry/jobs, jewelry, dental prosthesis manufacture, and blue jean processing/sandblasting (depending on countries) (PMID 31517432; 31989662). As of drugs, cristalline silica can be present in drug tablets and pills that can be crushed and auto-injected by some addicts, and/or as a cutting agent or adulterant in inhaled cocaine, marijuana, and household cleasning agents.
