Subclinical changes in lung function/PFT

(Fr: Sd restrictif ou altération de la diffusion isolés). Change in static or dynamic volumes or flows, diffusion for CO, compliance, ABG or distribution of ventilation. Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) may show a restrictive lung function defect or a lowtrending diffusing capacity for CO without necessarily the presence of clinical symptoms or definite changes on imaging including HRCT. Changes in PFT may develop concomitant with the administration of the causal drug or drugs, or they are noted as a persistent late finding upon termination of treatment or as a slowly progressive drift that needs be followed-up. These findings may reflect incipient or rampant subclinical ILD or pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiolitis obliterans, pulmonary hypertension or pleural fibrosis
